New project news

AEI has begun work on The Cove, the Canaveral Port Authority's latest endeavor. The Cove will be a commercial development in the heart of Port Canaveral and will include a Welcome Center, retail shopping, restaurants, office space, and an amphitheatre. The $20 million Phase One of this project is expected to be completed by May 2013.

The Canaveral Port Authority's development continues as AEI has started work on a 6,000 seat amphitheater that will be developed close to the new welcome center. The first phase of this project is expected to be completed by May 2013.

Allen Engineering is beginning its 13th year associated with the Space Coast Post of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). During our 13 years, we have helped raise close to $250,000 in scholarships and endowments. We are extremely proud to be associated with SAME and its continued commitment to offer opportunities for students pursuing careers in the engineering field.

Multi Family Residence

Throughout our history, Allen Engineering has provided services to hundreds of condominium complexes in the Brevard County, Florida area. From this, we have gained tremendous experience in oceanfront and riverfront permitting, which have much more significant requirements than standard multi-unit housing developments.

The Meridian

This oceanfront condominium project consists of two (2), 5-story buildings with a total of 64 units in the Brevard County area between Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral, Florida. It covers 8.82 acres and has dual ocean access. Development of this project required vacation of County streets, as well as the relocation of City water, sewer, and stormwater conveyance systems.

Whitley Bay

Whitley Bay is a 64 unit, 13 story condominium covering a full square block in downtown Cocoa Village (Cocoa, Florida). Amenities include a 3 story dockmaster building with a retail area on the second floor and swimming pool on the top floor level. The project also includes 47 boat slips for condominium owners. Stormwater treatment is provided by a combination of dry retention and an underground exfiltration system.

Solana Shores - Solana Lakes

This 38-acre, 272-unit condominium complex is located in Cape Canaveral, Florida. Solana Shores is an oceanfront project, while Solana Lakes is situated immediately to the west. Two interconnected lakes totaling about eight (8) acres in size provide stormwater management for the two projects, as well as the neighboring Cape Caribe Resort. The pool and clubhouse for Solana Lakes is located on an island in the middle of the western lake.

Island Point Condo & Marina

Allen Engineering, Inc. provided services for both phases of this 185 unit, multi-family residential development located on 8.94 acres with a marina on the Indian River in Merritt Island, Florida. The first phase included three residential buildings and a club house. The second phase included a fourth residential building and reconstruction of a County street to modern standards. With the site abutting the river, shoreline protection and stormwater management were key components of the site engineering.
